While I'm thinking of things that were just plain silly about AD&D 2.0, how about 'turns' and 'rounds' where each turn had ten rounds? This was for spell effect durations.

It's so nice to be able to use those as proper synonyms.

I have yet to play a game of D&D. I've met up with people to play, and then we wind up getting tanked and watching bad horror movies. I wonder if I'll ever learn that game. That and Magic the Gathering.

I have never properly played the game, but I've jumped in on occasion, usually using someone's character who had died earlier in the campaign for a "non-story" game episode. I've sat in on many a game, though, watching and joking and lending in some drama, but that's it.
